Networking & Telecom: ERIN is the Indian associate of the consortium of ASTEC
which is implementing a multi-million dollar European Union frame
contract. ASTEC was earlier Eircom International Consultancy, the overseas
consulting division of the Irish Telecom (known as Telecom Eireann earlier
and now, ‘eircom’). EIC has worked in over 80 countries. With the
convergence of IT & Telecom, ASTEC's vital links with telecom
businesses round the globe provides connectivity to IT business. ERIN has
the links to quickly establish business contacts with the IT industry in
Europe. Ireland is the major software centre in Europe, and this has
obvious advantages for ERIN.
IT Training ERIN has worked in association
with KEONICS, the Karnataka State Govt owned Electronics Development
Corporation for delivering IT Training.

ISSP Study : ERIN was assigned a prestigious project 'Information Systems Strategy Plan'
(ISSP) study funded by World Bank for the Karnataka Health Dept to study
the existing IT facilities in health institutions in the state and suggest
a overall for Information System.
The team comprised of experts
in medical and IT fields and was headed by Prof S. Krishna of the Indian
Institute of Management, Bangalore. The ISSP team completed the study and
the finding and suggestions have been appreciated by the World Bank team.
